Eligible employees of the State include employees of the executive, legislative and judicial branches of state government. Employees of state universities and community colleges are not eligible for tuition-free courses.
Tuition will not be waived for thesis, dissertation, practicum, internship, directed independent study, music or theatre performance, continuing education, audit, non-credit courses, one-on-one course situations, sponsored credit, and all other non-fundable courses.
A state employee requesting a tuition fee waiver must be admitted to the University.
The State Employee Tuition Fee Waiver form must be completed and submitted to the employee's supervisor for approval.
After course registration (during the drop/add period), forward the completed form to the Registrar's Office.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: It is critical to confirm the dates State employees can register using the State waiver benefit. If you register prior to the designated State waiver registration period, you will assume all financial liability for any courses you register for.
