How do I change the way my name is printed on the diploma?
Diploma name changes must be made in writing to the Registrar's Office or by email to graduation@uwf.edu.
How do I postpone my graduation date?
If you determine that you will not be completing all degree requirements by the end of the semester which you applied to graduate, or if you elect to postpone your graduation date for another reason (such as to take classes towards a second major), you should notify the Registrar’s Office in writing or by email to graduation@uwf.edu to cancel your current semester graduation application. You will need to submit another graduation application for the appropriate semester.
Where can I find information on commencement (including cap and gown orders, ceremony time and location, and instructions for guests)?
This information is available on the commencement website: http://uwf.edu/commencement/.
How do I know if I am eligible for Baccalaureate Honors?
The GPA used to determine baccalaureate honors will be based upon all work attempted at UWF and previously attended institutions. However, the GPA used for honors will not be higher than the UWF GPA. A minimum of 40 semester hours of graded (A-WF) work must be completed at UWF. Please consult the Academic Catalog for further information. Honors indicated on the commencement program are tentative since current semester courses are not included. The cumulative GPA, including any transfer work, is recorded in the “University Credit Hour Requirements” section of your SASS audit.
The diploma will be mailed to the diploma mailing address submitted on your graduation application approximately six weeks after graduation.
My employer/graduate school needs proof that I graduated as soon as possible. What should I do?
The Registrar’s Office will begin awarding degrees approximately one week after grades are due. You may review your “Unofficial Transcript” in MyUWF to see if your degree has been posted. Once you have confirmed that your degree has been posted, you may order official transcripts at any time which will reflect this information.
Why don't I see my degree listed under the "Degrees Awarded" link in MyUWF?
The “Degrees Awarded” and “Rank in Class” links will be updated approximately eight weeks after graduation.
Why haven't I received my diploma?
Diplomas are mailed approximately 6 weeks after graduation. All financial holds, including Exit Counseling, must be cleared before the diploma will be released. Please review your record for any financial holds, and contact the Graduation Coordinator (graduation@uwf.edu) to verify the diploma mailing address on file.
How do I confirm that you received my graduation application?
Once your Graduation Application has been received and processed by the Registrar’s Office, you will receive a confirmation e-mail to your student e-mail account (undergraduate students may also see the Undergraduate Graduation Checklist in the Student Records folder in MyUWF). Graduation Applications are processed approximately one month after the application due date.
