In this clinic we meet at the HLS Facility Customer Service Desk and walk to our on-campus canoe launch behind building 13.
You'll learn about canoeing equipment, including paddles, PFDs, and the boat. While exploring the bayou you'll learn basic paddling strokes including forward, backward, draw, pry, "j", and sweep.
We'll learn how to turn the boat and, hardest of all, stay straight! You'll leave this clinic ready to check out a canoe and impress your paddling partner.
