April Glenn April is a program manager and counselor for the Community Drug and Alcohol Council’s (CDAC) Beta II Program at a local alternative school. Along with her work, she is now enrolled in a doctoral program. “Attending UWF's Master's program in Counseling Psychology proved to be a very positive experience for me due to friendly and readily available faculty/staff, challenging coursework, and valuable research/practical opportunities. As I approached graduation, I felt well prepared to pursue a counseling career armed with a firm foundation in counseling principles and several resume boosting practical experiences."

Candace Harrison Candy is a school-based LMHC with Lakeview, working primarily with high school students who have mental health diagnoses. She says that in her work with adolescents she utilizes a strange mix of solution-focused therapies, Aaron Beck, Rogers, and Dr. Phil. |

Joe Salter Joe is a school-based counselor in the Pensacola area, having obtained his job just prior to his graduation in 2007.

Don Harrison Don completed the program in December, 2006. He is currently working at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center and is pursuing Florida state licensure as a mental health counselor. He states that while at UWF, he worked on additional clinical and research projects that he learned from and enjoyed.

Joanna Riddle Joanna is employed with Lutheran Services Florida in Ft. Walton Beach as a residential counselor for one of their shelters. She is working towards licensure as a mental health counselor.

Melissa Rounds Melissa works at Project HELP, in Naples, FL. She is counseling victims of sexual assault, in addition to people who have sudddenly lost a loved one, either to accidents or crime. She indicates that “it will be tough, but very rewarding. I am very excited about it. As an extra bonus, one of the Project HELP fundraising events includes a chocolate extravaganza!”
