Apply to Pensacola State College Now- Obtain two letters of recommendation to submit with your scholarship application. Letters can be provided by teachers, employers or community leaders. These letters should reflect your character, accomplishments, values and dedication to scholarly activities.
- Write a 500-word essay on "what being a citizen of Pensacola means to me." This essay is a great opportunity for the selection committee to get to know you, your values and how our city has impacted your life.
- Complete the Pensacola Pledge Scholars application (PDF). Please be sure to confirm that you that you live within the city limits of Pensacola.
Submit your recommendation letters, essay and scholarship application by April 1 to the school where you applied:

The Pensacola Pledge Scholars Committee at UWF, chaired by the Director of Admissions, will make the selection of the candidates. The Vice President of University Advancement for UWF shall appoint the committee comprised of a cross section of representatives from campus. Pensacola State College will follow the same guidelines in establishing a selection committee. The scholars will be announced beginning in April. Distributions may vary from year to year based on the quality and quantity of the applicants.
