Personnel Development Partnership at

University of West Florida

 

The purpose of the project is to increase the State’s capacity to recruit, prepare and retain highly qualified personnel in Florida that provide instructional and related services to children with disabilities.  The project also includes a management component of the State Personnel Development Grant responsible for federal reporting requirements.

 

 

 Current PDP Projects & Descriptions

 

Para to Teacher Program

Paras To Teachers is a collaborative project providing special education courses for

para-educators. The focus for this project is on the Elementary/ESE Online Dual Major.

Students completing this degree will also have earned a Reading and ESOL Endorsement.

 

Project Access

Project Access is a program designed for students wanting to major in Special Education. This project also accepts teachers that were out-of-field needing certification in Special Ed.

 

Pre K Disabilities Endorsement

The Florida Pre-Kindergarten Disability (Pre-K D) Endorsement program prepares teachers to meet the competencies for teaching prekindergarten-aged children with specific disabilities, developmental delays, and/or at-risk conditions.
