PARAS TO TEACHERS
Paras To Teachers is a collaborative project providing special education courses for para-educators. The focus for this project is on the Elementary/ESE Online Dual Major. Students completing this degree will also have earned a Reading and ESOL Endorsement.

Partners include PDP at UWF, PDP at UNF, PDP at FSU, University of West Florida and local school districts. The purpose of Paras To Teachers is to provide para-educators in the region the opportunity to obtain a special education degree. Those eligible for Paras To Teachers must meet the following requirements:

1. Must have an AA degree, preferably in Education, but others may be accepted;

2. Must have a minimum AA GPA of 3.0;

3. Must obtain a letter from your Principal stating that you are working as a Para-educator in that school;

4. Must be willing to commit to teaching in the state of Florida for two years for every academic year of support received.

5. Must be working as a para-educator in the North Florida Region.
