(Course Communications)

 

Throughout the semester you will find there are a variety of avenues by which I communicate with you, you with me, and you with your fellow classmates. The Firehouse Dispatch provides you with all the links you need to these communication avenues. Please use whatever means of communication is necessary and comfortable for you to meet the goals of the course. With some of these links you will find help pages attached to assist you in using the communication tools effectively and efficiently. If you are unfamiliar with a particular tool please use the help sheets provided prior to asking for technical assistance.

Course Listserv

The Course Listserv allows each firefighter to send email to all other firefighters with a single email.

Course Threaded Discussions

The Course Threaded Discussions great tool for focused discussion of specific topics. Firefighters can post their thoughts and ideas on specific topics for others to view and make comments. All threaded discussions will be available within elearning.

Course Chat Room

A comfortable tool for working in groups, discussing current projects or topics, and chatting with the Fire Chief. We will be using the eLearning system for any chat sessions (called LiveRoom). Please review the eLearning student orientation guide or the help files within that system. Class List

The Class List provides individual emails for each firefighter.
