Students, parents and families attending the FTIC & transfer student on-campus orientation will receive a printed schedule of events and other materials at check-in on Friday, January 3. Check-in for students, parents and families is at 7:30 a.m. at the University Commons Conference Center, 2nd floor of Building 22. The program will start promptly at 8 a.m. Registration confirmation emails with detailed information will be sent 2 weeks prior to the on-campus orientation date.
We have two full days PACKED with activities and information for new Argos and Argo families. During New Student Orientation, you will receive information about the various services on campus, meet and interact with other new and current students, faculty, and staff. Students will also learn about the various opportunities available to them. In addition, students will see an academic advisor, build a schedule for the first semester at UWF, and register for classes.
All incoming FTIC students must register for Orientation via the web through my.uwf.edu. Directions: Go to http://my.uwf.edu, use the UWF ID # provided in the admission letter to log in, click on Orientation Registration, then follow the outlined directions to complete your online registration.

The Office of Family Programs operates a separate, concurrent two-day program created specifically for Argo families. A separate parent/family registration is required so we may plan accordingly. Directions: When your student registers for New Student Orientation or Transfer Orientation, there is a place on the registration form to put down the name(s) of any guest that may accompany them. Please visit Parent/Family registration for more information. Families are not required to attend.
Students and families may change sessions or make edits to their orientation status after submitting the registration information online. Changes/edits to the orientation registration may be completed up to 14 days prior to the orientation session the student/family initially registered for. Changes/edits to the registration status must be completed through my.uwf.edu.

Note: Changes/edits may include actions such as: changing an orientation session date or adding a guest(s). Students/families requesting changes/edits to their orientation registration with less than 14 days must consult with the Office of Student Transition Programs staff at (850) 473-7229.
You may check your registration status at any time by logging into my.uwf.edu. Once you have logged into your MyUWF account, click on Orientation Registration where you be able to view the orientation registration receipt.

Two-Day Session for Fall 2014 UWF Students: When arriving to campus, parents and families should follow the Orientation Check-In signs. Students will check-in and register at Martin Hall in building 920, Parking Lot Y. Although there will be orientation leaders available to assist students with the move-in process, parents and families are encouraged to assist their students unload their overnight belongings.
Once the student is unloaded and dropped off, parents and families will be asked to proceed to the Parent Check-In location at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA, Building 82). Parents will park in Parking Lot M. If there are additional questions or concerns regarding directions to campus or parking, please visit the University of West Florida Campus Maps webpage. Orientation leaders will also be available to help answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding New Student Orientation Check-In.
One-Day Session for Spring and Summer 2014 UWF Students: Students attending the one-day session will check-in directly at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts or at the University Conference Center based on the designated location for the specified session.
