
The Office of Juvenile Studies (OJS) administers grant programs and research-based studies impacting at-risk and high-risk youth. Located in the Educational Research and Development Center at the University of West Florida, OJS is actively engaged in a wide range of issues. Program interests include alternative education, vocational /entrepreneurship / employability initiatives, outdoor education challenge programs, assessment, prevention / diversion services in juvenile delinquency, and aftercare services designed to improve community re-entry of formerly committed youth.

Mission
The Office of Juvenile Studies is committed to providing innovative learning opportunities to students and professionals through hands-on training, employment, practical, intern, and research opportunities, while providing an array of community-based services to at-risk and high-risk youth.
