Benefits of Registration

University of West Florida students have the right to free association, to form and join groups/organizations to pursue a variety of purposes with or without recognition by the University. However, you must have registered status in order to receive the benefits of being registered. This page provides information on those benefits.

Student Involvement (SI)

Student Involvement serves as the host for Registered Student Organizations at the University of West Florida. Registered Student Organizations are under the jurisdiction of the Director of SI and his/her designees.

The SI office maintains current contact information for active Registered Student Organizations, oversees processes for new student organization registration and renewal for previously Registered Student Organizations. The responsibility for establishing, educating and enforcing policy concerning Registered Student Organizations, including requirements in their constitutions and in the University Student Code of Conduct, is vested in SI. Additionally, the SI office provides on-going support and more to individuals and student organizations.

Benefits of Registration

In registering through Student Involvement, student organizations may benefit from a variety of support and resources:

  • Ability to reserve University facilities, including building rooms and grounds
  • Eligibility to request Activity and Service Fee funds through the Student Government Association Finance Committee on an annual basis
  • Support and guidance through the professionals in the SI office
  • Eligibility to participate in student organization fairs and other promotional events offered through SI and other University sponsored entities or departments
  • Use of ArgoPulse for internal and external organization management, communication and promotion
  • One Argonet account specific to your organization (provides an @uwf.edu email address)
  • Eligibility to participate in a variety of programming offered through the SI office
