Benefits of Registration

Free Association

University of West Florida students have the right to free association, to form and join groups/organizations to pursue a variety of purposes with or without recognition by the University. This means you do not have to have registered status in order to meet, host events, etc. You must, however, have registered status to receive the benefits of being registered.

University Commons & Student Involvement (UCSI)

The UCSI serves as the host for Registered Student Organizations at the University of West Florida.  Registered Student Organizations are under the jurisdiction of the Director of UCSI and his/her designees.

The UCSI office maintains current contact information for active Registered Student Organizations, oversees processes for new student organization registration and renewal for previously Registered Student Organizations.  The responsibility for establishing, educating and enforcing policy concerning Registered Student Organizations, including requirements in their constitutions and in the University Student Code of Conduct, is vested in the UCSI.  Additionally, the UCSI office provides on-going support and more to individuals and student organizations.
