Employee Recognition and Awards Program (ERAP)
The Employee Recognition and Awards Program is a yearly event held in the Spring to recognize excellence in UWF faculty and staff.
The Employee Recognition and Awards Program (ERAP) is a collaborative effort, hosted by Human Resources and Staff Senate. Please visit the ERAP page found on the Human Resources webpage for further information on how to nominate a colleague, deadlines for nominations, event dates, and a listing of previous winners.

Outstanding Employee of the Year
The Outstanding Employee of the Year is chosen from among the year’s Professional Excellence Award winners.
Award: Additional $3,000 award, a designated parking space, and a plaque commemorating the award.
Professional Excellence (Divisional) Awards
These awards recognize individuals for substantial contributions impacting inter-departmental operations. The recipient is selected on the basis of outstanding job performance, professionalism, and service excellence.
Award: $2,000 and an engraved award
University Divisional Awards
Business, Finance & Facilities
Marion Viccars Award
This award, established by former UWF President James Robinson, recognizes superior service of university employees. The recipient is selected on the basis of outstanding job performance as well as service to the university and the community.
Award: $2,000 cash award and a certificate of appreciation.
Gabor Award for Excellence
The Gabor Award for Excellence was established on behalf of the Gabor Insurance Company to award outstanding university employees.
Award: $200 cash award and a certificate of appreciation.
Student Government Association Distinguished Staff Award
This award is given annually to staff members who have overwhelmingly demonstrated professionalism and dedication when assisting UWF students. All recipients of this award are nominated by the student body. Selection of recipients is made by the UWF Student Government Association University Outreach Committee.
Years of University Service Awards
Employees who have achieved increments of five continuous years of service with the University of West Florida are eligible for service awards. Awards are selected by the employees prior to the event.
Award: Through the Service Awards Program, eligible employees are able to select an award from an
approved list. *Employees who have made their selection may pick up their award immediately following the ceremony in Human Resources, Building 20E
