Campus Connections

All Year

Campus Connections are faculty/staff who meet with students to discuss networking and personal goals. The time commitment is 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on schedules of the participants.

Welcome Wagon

August 25

Let us welcome you to UWF with a tasty treat and refreshing drink. Advisors, Deans, and staff will be stationed on the lawns of the residence halls to chat with you about ways to Dive Deep into your first year!

Capture Campus

August 25

Showcase your fearless side using your photos of UWF with the #captureUWF17 and #DDbefearless. Best photos of the week will be featured on Dive Deep social media. The Top 21 photos featured using the #captureUWF17 #DDbefearless will be displayed at the Concert in the Commons in December.

Mini Semis

September 12

Mini Semi's are miniature seminars lasting from 10-20 minutes based on a topic relating to: music, movies, or other media. Examples are: History of Rock and Roll, Album Art Through the Ages, Poetry in Modern Music etc.

It can be scary thinking you don't belong. Help us remind each other that You Belong as an Argo. Participate by telling friends or writing letters to strangers.

Concert in the Commons

November 15

The Concert in the Commons is an annual showcase and celebration for students as they finish their first  for first semester. At this event, posters and projects from the Academic Foundations for Success courses will be on display. The event will also showcase different musical acts.

Human Library

January 31

The Human Library is an event encouraging people to share stories and learn from one another in a safe environment. During this event, students are able to “check out” a human book for a 10 minute session, during which they were able to have a conversation with the book in either a one-on-one or small group setting. If you have a story of fearlessness and would like to be a book please email fye@uwf.edu.

Show your major some love this Valentine's Day. Stop by a booth in the Commons to share your appreciation for your major or your favorite faculty/staff. Not feeling your major? Maybe thinking about breaking up? First Year Advisors and Career Services will be there to explore about other options.
