Quality Enhancement is a broad process of ongoing reflection and activity to enhance and strengthen the existing quality of the university. The university's mission and vision is underpinned by Quality Enhancement, outlined in strategic directions and UWF priorities in the University of West Florida Strategic Plan.
UWF Priority 1.1 guides faculty and staff in the University's desire "to foster student learning and development." Other aspects of the Strategic Plan also provide guidance for faculty and staff with regard to Quality Enhancement. UWF continually engages in initiatives that highlight a commitment to Quality Enhancement, including the Academic Visioning Process and development of a Quality Enhancement Plan to support the University's goal of reaffirmation of accreditation by the regional accrediting body, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
