Transfer Advantage is an optional (but highly encouraged) next step for your enrollment at the University of West Florida. This online session provides you with an opportunity to learn about UWF from the convenience of your home. Contact your academic advisor to schedule an advising appointment to discuss registration and course selection options. This can be done at any time after you confirm your acceptance to UWF.

Transfer Advantage PLUS is an optional (but highly encouraged) next step for your enrollment at the University of West Florida. This half-day session provides you with an opportunity to connect with your academic advisor, learn about UWF and receive the information necessary to successfully transition to UWF. The fee includes your Nautilus Student ID Card and other required materials, which are inclusive of tax. 

All of the above Transfer Advantage benefits PLUS:

  • Face-to-face meeting with academic advisor
  • Interact with current students
  • Pick up Nautilus Student ID Card and take care of other campus business
  • Attend optional sessions on financial aid, dining services, campus safety, Military and Veterans Resource Center
  • Library tour
  • UWF swag

Do you have 30 or more credit hours but classified as a freshman? Attend a Fast Pass orientation session! You have worked hard and are ready to make a splash. In order to build on your achievements, we have created a Fast Pass session just for you! However, if you are unable to attend one of the Fast Pass sessions, you may attend a general freshman session. This fee includes your Nautilus Student ID Card, meals, and other required materials, which are inclusive of tax.

Freshman
Freshman students must attend an on-campus orientation session. This fee includes Nautilus Student ID Card, meals, housing, and other required materials, which are inclusive of tax. 
*Session 9 is discounted to $115 because overnight housing for the student is not included.

STEM
STEM sessions are catered to students who want to go into the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). If you are unable to attend one of the STEM sessions, you may attend a general freshman session. This fee includes Nautilus Student ID Card, meals, housing, and other required materials, which are inclusive of tax.

STEM Benefits:

  • One-on-one interactions with upper level faculty and advisors
  • Meet other students within your major
  • Classroom experience

All costs associated with orientation are non-refundable. Once you register for orientation, you will be prompted to pay orientation costs. Your spot at orientation will be reserved upon payment completion. Orientation costs are not refundable, so be very certain before you make your reservations. Orientation costs vary depending upon the type of student you are and the number of days you attend. Generally, the costs include a $50 orientation fee, program materials, meals and your UWF Nautilus Student ID Card. We do not offer a sibling program during orientation. If siblings attend, their lunch will need to be paid out of pocket.‚Äč
