Transfer Advantage is an optional (but highly encouraged) next step for your enrollment at the University of West Florida.  This online session provides you with an opportunity to learn about UWF from the convenience of your home. Transfer Advantage PLUS is an optional (but highly encouraged) next step for your enrollment at the University of West Florida.  This half-day session provides you with an opportunity to connect with your academic advisor, learn about UWF and receive the information necessary to successfully transition to UWF.  In addition to orientation, this fee includes Nautilus Student ID Card and other required materials, which are inclusive of tax. 

All of the above Transfer Advantage benefits PLUS:

  • Face-to-face meeting with academic advisor
  • Interact with current students
  • Pick up Nautilus Student ID Card and take care of other campus business
  • Attend optional sessions on financial aid, dining services, campus safety, Military and Veterans Resource Center
  • Library tour
  • UWF swag

Got 24 – 29 credits?  Attend a Fast Pass orientation session!  You have worked hard and are driven for success.  In order to build on your achievements we have created a Fast Pass session just for you!  However, if you are unable to attend one of the Fast Pass dates you may attend an FTIC general session.  In addition to orientation, this fee includes Nautilus Student ID Card, meals, and other required materials, which are inclusive of tax.

FTIC

First Time in College (FTIC) students must attend an on-campus orientation session.  In addition to orientation, this fee includes Nautilus Student ID Card, meals, housing, and other required materials, which are inclusive of tax. 

STEM

STEM sessions are catered to students who want to go into the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).  However, if you are unable to attend one of the STEM dates you may attend an FTIC general session.  In addition to orientation, this fee includes Nautilus Student ID Card, meals, housing, and other required materials, which are inclusive of tax.

STEM Benefits:

  • One-on-one interactions with upper level faculty and advisors
  • Meet other students within your major
  • Classroom experience

 

General Information

Please note that we do not offer a sibling program during orientation. If siblings attend, their lunch will need to be paid out of pocket.

We suggest you contact and meet with your Academic Advisor as soon as possible to discuss your course selection options. This can be done at any time after you have confirmed your acceptance to UWF.  Please review the New Transfer Student - Registration & Advising Resources for additional help with the registration and advising process.


All fees associated with orientation are non-refundable.
 This includes student and guest registration fees, cancellations, student and guest reservation changes, meals, overnight housing for students, tax, program materials, etc. Once you register for orientation, you will be prompted to pay orientation fees. Your spot at orientation will be reserved upon payment completion. They are not refundable, so be very certain before you make your reservations. 

All dates and times are subject to change by Student Transition Programs. We will communicate changes with sufficient notice if any occur.
