First Time in College (FTIC) Orientation
Fall 2014 FTIC Students
The last orientation is on August 20-21st! Check-in is from 8-9 a.m. at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts (Building 82). If you are living on campus in the Fall, you will be able to move into your residence hall room from 1-5 p.m. on August 19th. If you are living off campus in the Fall, you need to arrange lodging accommodations and transportation to campus. To complete your orientation requirement, you must stay for the entire orientation. If you leave orientation early, you will not have your orientation hold removed, and you may not be able to register for Spring 2015 classes.
Below are the approximate end times for each group on each day. *Please do not make plane reservations prior to 6:30 p.m. for departures.
- Students - Day 1: 11 p.m.
- Parents & Families - Day 1: 6 p.m.
- Students, Parents & Families - Day 2: Between 2-5 p.m.
During orientation, you will receive information about various campus services and opportunities; meet with an academic advisor to create your class schedule; register for classes; and interact with other students, faculty and staff.
Students and guests (parents, family members and/or siblings) must register and pay for orientation on MyUWF. Directions: Go to MyUWF, log in using your UWF ID #, search and click Orientation Registration for Undergraduate Students, select Fall 2014 and complete the reservation.
Edits to Your Registration
You may change sessions, add a guest or make other edits to your orientation registration even after submitting your payment; however, orientation fees are non-refundable. Edits to your orientation registration may be completed up to one week prior to your orientation session on MyUWF. If you request edits to your registration less than one week prior to your orientation, you must consult with the Student Transition Programs at (850) 473-7229 or email@example.com. To edit your orientation registration, go to MyUWF, log in using your UWF ID #, search and click Orientation Registration for Undergraduate Students (where your completed application will appear), click on Edit My Orientation Registration, and choose your preferred orientation date.

Check-In and Parking for Fall 2014 FTIC Students, Parents & Families
Follow the orientation check-in signs when you arrive on campus. Students and parents will check in between 8-9 a.m. at the Center for Fine & Performing Arts (CFPA), Building 82, Parking Lot M. Students, bring a photo ID (ex. Driver's License, Passport, or State/Government issued photo ID), rain gear, umbrella, and immunization information (if records have not yet been submitted).

Student Costs for FTIC, 2-Day Session:
- Student Orientation Fee: $50
- Nautilus ID Card Fee: $10
- Food/Required Materials: $75
Guest Costs for FTIC, 2-Day Session:
- Food/Materials/Program for Parents and Siblings (ages 5-16): $40
- Siblings Ages 4 and Under: FREE (no registration needed)
All fees associated with orientation are non-refundable. This includes student and guest registration fees, cancellations, student and guest reservation changes, meals, overnight housing for students, tax, program materials, etc. Once you register for orientation, you will be prompted to pay orientation fees. Your spot at orientation will be reserved upon payment completion. Orientation fees are not refundable, so be very certain before you make your reservations.
