Dialogues on the Experience of War

Teaching Opportunity

UWF was recently awarded a grant from the National Endowment of the Humanities to fund several sections of a new, interdisciplinary, discussion-based humanities course for military veterans--War: Ancient and Modern.

Discussion Leaders will attend a 3.5 day intensive Summer Institute scheduled to run from July 26 – 29, 2017, at the Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN) building in downtown Pensacola. Sessions will include a full run-through of the Colloquia curriculum with discussions led jointly by Prof. Ramsey and visiting consultant faculty members with expertise on the readings. The Institute will also feature sessions designed to provide contextual information likely to help tutors prepare for the task of facilitating discussions of the course material in small group settings composed primarily of veterans.
