William McCarthy

Transition Coach

A Navy veteran, William was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and enlisted in the Navy in 2001. He served 10 years as an Electronics Technician and separated in 2011 as a Petty Officer First Class. His first tour was onboard the USS Chief (MCM – 14)/ MCM Crew Bulwark. After five years with MCM Crew Bulwark, he transferred to Deployable Medical Pensacola at Naval Hospital Pensacola. There he served two tours onboard the USNS Comfort in support of humanitarian aid missions to Central/South America for USSOUTHCOM. His last tour of duty was with USCENTCOM in Bahrain providing technical support to military units throughout the Middle East.

After separating from the Navy in 2011, William moved to the Pensacola where he began attending college at Pensacola State College. He received his Associates in Pre-Engineering in 2013 and began attending the University of West Florida. He is currently studying Electrical and Computer Engineering with minors in Computer Science and Mathematics.
