Marketing & Creative Services offers numerous training opportunities for campus web content providers and web developers.


Web Services will eventually offer advanced training sessions exploring the more robust functionalities of the CMS.

Web managers interested in hands-on training can register for courses using the Reservation Desk links below.

CMS Content Provider

CMS and Web Training is offered in order to train all campus web administrators on the use of the new Site Manager CMS system and templates. Ongoing content provider training will continue to be offered following the CMS launch. Some training sessions may be offered via video tutorials.

Maximizing Your Academic Program Page Web Content

Keeping your webpage content current and relevant to your site visitor allows your department to maximize your presence on uwf.edu. Specifically designed for ANYONE who is involved with creating content for an Academic Program Page, this class covers best practices for engaging your audience with web-appropriate text, applicable visuals and action-oriented elements. No pre-requisites for this class are required and you DO NOT have to be a CMS trained Content Provider to attend.


 

Maximizing Your Website Content (formerly Writing for the Web)

Content is king when it comes to any website on campus. Site visitors expect to easily find information that is current, easy to navigate and relevant to what they are searching for. In this brief tutorial, you will learn easy tips and tricks that will allow you to maximize the content on your department/unit’s site and optimize your presence on the web. Those involved with creating content for academic program pages, are strongly encouraged to attend the new Maximizing Your Academic Program Page Web Content. This is a recognized course for the M&CS Brand Ambassador program.
