How to Apply
Interested in becoming a Kugelman Honors Scholar? Your journey begins with your application.
To apply to the Kugelman Honors Program, you need to be a confirmed or admitted applicant through the UWF Office of Undergraduate Admissions. When you are a confirmed or admitted applicant to UWF, you can log into your MyUWF account and complete the following steps:
- Log into MyUWF and search "Honors Student Application"
- Once you have accessed the application form, you will upload your personal letter of intent (500 to 1,500 words in length) explaining why you would like to join the Kugelman Honors Program.
- Submit your letter of intent. The rest of your details (your name, address, student ID, email address, GPA, and ACT/SAT scores) are automatically submitted to the program once you have submitted your letter of intent.
Applications are processed and reviewed once a week and admittance emails are sent the following week.
The Kugelman Honors Program accepts first year students to begin the program each fall semester. The application deadline is June 1st for students entering each fall. Students who miss the June 1st deadline must wait until the following year to apply.
For prospective Honors students interested in living on campus during their freshman year, the preferred application deadline is May 1. To guarantee a room assignment in Pace Hall, the designated Honors Residence Hall, students must complete both an Honors program application and housing application by May 1. After that date, students admitted will be placed in Pace Hall on a space-available basis.
