Megan Gonzalez serves as the Executive Director of Institutional Communications at the University of West Florida, where she executes the University’s integrated communications plan. She leads a fast-paced, innovative department of creative, digital, public relations and communications professionals.
Brittany initially joined the Institutional Communications team as an intern while finishing her degree here at UWF. Because of her previous experience within the department, Brittany understands the daily pressures it operates under, making her a perfect fit as the Assistant Director.
Jennifer Peck serves as the Art Director for Institutional Communications where she is responsible for the visual components of the university’s marketing, communication and branding efforts.
Brittany Sherwood serves as the Public Relations Manager for Institutional Communications, where she executes media relations, publicity and communication strategies for the University. In this role, Brittany manages the media relations on behalf of the institution, develops and implements communication plans, strategies and initiatives and oversees institutional social media strategies.
Bernard Wilchusky is the photography and video manager for Institutional Communications at the University of West Florida, where he spends his days organizing the University’s diverse array of multimedia assets. When he’s not at the office, Bernard can be found around campus searching for imagery emblematic of the Argo spirit.
Christina Anderson is the Web Manager for Institutional Communications. She possesses a strong background in script programming and graphic design and works closely with the department as well as the growing community of content providers across the university, assisting with content integration and development in the campus web content management system.
Lacey Berry serves as the Graphic Designer for Institutional Communications. She provides design services with a primary role of reproducing, maintaining and developing creative concepts to support strategic messaging.
John serves as the photographer for the University of West Florida. Throughout the course of his 20 years as an active part of the Institutional Communications team, John has been providing a variety of photography services to the campus community.
Jamie Calvert serves as the Communications Assistant for Institutional Communications. In this position, she drafts content for the institutional social media outlets and assists with monitoring platforms.
Colton Currier serves as Project Specialist and Academic Affairs Liaison, where he develops, executes and evaluates communication plans and strategies to advance the University of West Florida.
Kharas Denson serves as the Public Relations Specialist for Institutional Communications. In this role, she manages public relations, communication and social media activities for the University of West Florida.
Morgan Givens serves as a photographer for the University of West Florida. In the time of becoming a professional photographer in 2016, Morgan has photographed events ranging from weddings to Division I football. His photography services at UWF extends to institutional communications, athletics, and much more.
Will joined the Institutional Communications team with more than 20 years of experience in television news and sports. He works with UWF Athletics and the Office of the President to produce programming and assists all areas of the University with video production for marketing, public relations and social media.
Michael serves as the Program Specialist. In this position, he assists with managing a variety of projects for Institutional Communications and the coordination of photography and video operations. Additionally, he researches and develops communication plans and protocols, assists with the management of digital platforms and initiatives, assists the web support team, and facilitates administrative duties and tasks.
Jason O'Connell serves as the Web Content Strategist for Institutional Communications where he is responsible for enhancing the web user experience, content quality, search optimization, analytical measurement as well as improve client support.
Margaret Roberts serves as Marketing Strategist at the University of West Florida, where she focuses on strategic marketing initiatives and brand management. Her dynamic passion for education and proactive approach to communications aids her in this role. Additionally, Margaret serves as the managing editor of the UWF alumni and friends publication, Connection Magazine.
Brittany Swinford is a writer for Institutional Communications, where she is responsible for drafting and editing press releases and other public relations writing, as well as copywriting and editing for the University’s marketing initiatives.
Olivia Teeney serves as Communications Specialist for Institutional Communications. In this role she assists with the University's social presence by curating content for various platforms that tell stories, share traditions and build an ongoing narrative with UWF's audiences.
