What We Support
IT Operations is comprised of three support teams; the ITS Help Desk, Networking and Telecommunications, and Classroom Technology. The Director of IT Operations is Sandra Thompson.
The ITS Help Desk is the first point of contact for IT questions and requests for service, providing phone, email, and desktop support. The ITS Help Desk provides technical support to UWF students, faculty, and staff on a variety of university technology services.
Networks & Telecommunications provides wired and wireless data connectivity as well as voice connectivity and related services for campus and remote sites. Networking and Telecommunications supports the campus Internet, ArgoAir wireless network, and Telecommunications.
ITS places a top priority on providing faculty with the latest classroom and instructional technology, allowing them to create an engaging and multimedia rich learning environment for UWF students. Classroom Technology includes both technology in the classroom and training on emerging instructional technologies. Classroom Technology provides support for instructional technology, training, and student computer labs.
