Returning Resident Housing Options

Some housing options will be changing for the 2014/2015 school year. Please review your options below:


 

Grad Houses

If you are a graduate student interested in living in one of the Downtown Grad Houses, please contact assignments@uwf.edu. You do not need to attend Room Selection.

 

Available to all upperclassmen (2nd year students & above)

Heritage Hall, Village East & Village West will be available for assignment to returning residents Fall 2014/Spring 2015. If you are a current resident of these buildings, you may attend the squatters times (2:00-2:30pm & 2:30-3:00pm) at Room Selection to claim your same room for next year.

 

Current Argo Hall Residents

Argo Hall will not be available to returning residents because it is a First-Year Experience Hall for new First Time In College (FTIC) Freshmen. Any residents who currently live in Argo Hall will need to make other choices. Argo Hall residents can preference Heritage Hall, the Village Apartments, Southside Village, or Pace Hall (if they are an honors student). Current Argo Hall residents with ‘Oracle’ printed on their Room Selection Invitation can choose Presidents Hall during their scheduled Priority Group time.

 

Current Martin Hall Residents

Martin Hall will not be available to returning residents because it is a First-Year Experience Hall for new First Time In College (FTIC) Freshmen. Any residents who currently live in Martin Hall will need to make other choices. Martin Hall residents can preference Heritage Hall, the Village Apartments, Southside Village, or Pace Hall (if they are an honors student). Current Martin Hall residents with ‘Oracle’ printed on their Room Selection Invitation can choose Presidents Hall at the Presidents Hall (Oracle Program) time for Martin residents at 2:00pm.

 

Current Pace Hall Residents

Pace Hall will only be available to returning residents who are currently participating in the UWF Honors Program. Any residents who currently live in Pace Hall who are not a UWF Honors student or the requested roommate of a UWF Honors student will need to make other choices. Pace Hall residents can preference Heritage Hall, the Village Apartments, or Southside Village. Current Pace Hall residents with ‘Oracle’ printed on their Room Selection Invitation can choose Presidents Hall during their scheduled Priority Group time.

 

Current Presidents Hall Residents

Presidents Hall will only be available to those who have the word ‘Oracle’ printed on their Room Selection Invitation. Presidents Hall residents that do not have this note will not be able to return to the building, but can preference Heritage Hall, the Village Apartments, Southside Village, or Pace Hall (if they are an honors student).

 

Current Southside Village Residents

Southside residents will be able to preference areas that are open to upperclassmen. Buildings 23 & 24 will be open to First Time in College students only, so residents of those buildings will have to make other choices. Southside residents can preference Heritage Hall, the Village Apartments, Southside Village or Pace Hall (if they are an honors student). Current Southside residents with 'Oracle' printed on their Room Selection Invitation can choose Presidents Hall during their scheduled Priority Group time.

 

Important Information about changes to Southside Themes & Southside Room Selection

The Southside Villages will have new themes and building location changes for the 2014-2015 school year.

 

  • Bld 14 – Formally Argos Give Back. The new theme of Bld 14 will be The Green House: A sustainability community for all classification levels. You may squat in Bld 14, but please note the change of theme when you make your decision.

 

  • Bld 15 & 16 - Outdoor Experience will stay in Bld 15 & 16 and will be open to all residents.

 

  • Bld 23 - Argie Spirit will stay in Bld 23, but will be open for First Time in College Students only. If you currently live in this building, you will need to choose a different community for next Fall, as it is becoming a freshmen only community.

 

  • Bld 24 – Formally Global Living. The new theme of Bld 24 will be The Leadership House: A First Time In College Leadership community for men & women.  If you currently live in this building, you will need to choose a different community for next Fall, as it is becoming a freshmen only community.

 

  • Bld 25 – Formally Global Living. In Fall 2014, Bld 25 will be the new home of Argos Give Back. If you would like to squat in Argos Give Back, please note that the community will be moving to Bld 25. You will be able to squat in the community, but you may have to move to a different foyer or room due to availability of space. If you would like to squat in Bld 14, please note the new theme when you make your decision.

 

  • Bld 26 will be one of our Global Living buildings next year. Students currently living in Bld 26 can squat in the building, but the theme will be changing from R.E.A.L. Men to Global Living. This will be a mixed gender building (same gender by room) open to all classification levels. The R.E.A.L. Men community will not be offered during the 2014/2015 school year.

 

  • Bld 27 - ROTC will stay in Bld 27 and will be open to squatters. You must be a member of ROTC to live in this building.

 

  • Bld 28 will be the 2nd Global Living building. The Health & Wellness community will be not offered during the 2014/2015 school year. If you want to squat in Bld 28, please note the change of theme when making your decision.

 

  • Bld 29 will be changing into the Kappa Delta Sorority Life building for the 2014/2015 school year. The WOW community will not be offered next year. This will be a female only residence hall open to upperclassmen students.

 

  • Bld 30, 31, 33, & 34 are Sorority Life buildings open to the members of those organizations. If you are a member and wish to live in the building next year, please contact your House Manager.

 

  • Bld 35 - Fine and Performing Arts will stay in Bld 35 and will be open to all residents.
