Meet our 2016 Homecoming Directors!
Homecoming Director: Taylor Suwarow
Taylor Suwarow is a junior studying public relations with minors in hospitality and marketing. She is a founding member and the vice president of public relations for Kappa Delta Sorority as well as vice president of recruitment for the College Panhellenic Council. Taylor is from Huntsville, Ala., but has found her home in Pensacola. Beyond campus life, Taylor enjoys being outdoors, cooking, traveling, Alabama football and, most important, spending time with family and friends.
Involvement Director: Dominic Policicchio
Dominic is a junior studying communication with a minor in marketing applications. He is president of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and loves being involved on campus. Dom was born and raised here in Pensacola and doesn't plan to move away from the beach anytime soon. When he's not on campus, Dom enjoys fishing, camping, skeet shooting, road trips and hanging out with his new dog, Murphy.
Events Director: Alex Francois
Alex is a junior majoring in exercise science and clinical lab science with a minor in forensic studies. Alex was born in Haiti, the youngest of five children, and graduated from Blanche Ely High School in Pompano Beach. Here at UWF, Alex serves as the scholarship chair of the Beta Beta Phi Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma INC, a senator in the Student Government Association and vice president of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). He is also a member of Haitian Student Organization and a Seventh-day Adventist. Alex is passionate about helping others, and his hobbies include writing poems, playing soccer, reading the Bible, and volunteering. After graduating, Alex plans to pursue a career in medicine or law. He plans to open a free health clinic in Haiti one day. His favorite quote is "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure" (Marianne Williamson).
Events Director: Yasmin Hernandez
Yasmin is a junior dual-majoring in marine biology and environmental science. She is from Fort Walton Beach and aspires to be an environmental lawyer. She is the president of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She loves to be outdoors and spend time on the water kayaking, tubing, and especially scuba diving. She also loves to spend her free time laughing and spending time with family and friends.
Graduate Advisor: Matthew Reinhard
Matthew is one of the Student Activities graduate assistants, primarily advising our amazing and talented Campus Activities Board (CAB) and Homecoming team. He graduated from the University of Northern Colorado (2013) with a bachelor's in recreation, tourism and hospitality and is now pursuing his master's at UWF in college student affairs administration. Beyond school and work, Matthew enjoys being outside: running, hiking and camping; as well as exploring culture through food and conversation.
Graduate Advisor: Andy Sutton
Andy is a current graduate student in the College of Student Affairs Administration program at UWF. He is one of the advisers for Homecoming and the Campus Activity Board. He really enjoys working in student involvement and was even the mascot at his undergraduate school. Andy is from Arab, AL but loves living in Pensacola. He enjoys playing video games, cooking, and going to the beach in his free time.
Student Activities Coordinator: Karli Sherman
Karli is the Student Activities Coordinator primarily advising the Campus Activity Board (CAB) and Homecoming. Karli loves being a part of the most amazing events on this campus and contributing to the traditions of UWF. She is an alumna of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (Bachelor of General Studies, 2008), Florida State University (Master of Science in Higher Education/Student Affairs, 2013), and Alpha Omicron Pi. Karli's interests include event management, Hazing Prevention, social media, Dynamic Recruitment, presenting, musical theater, the Royal Family, and glitter.
