Homecoming is a weeklong celebration of campus life, students, faculty, staff and alumni of the University of West Florida. Each year, we promote Argo pride with events, competitions, activities and athletics, and celebrate all that is UWF!
Apply to be one of the executive leaders of Homecoming 2016! The directors will work very closely with the Student Activities advisors to be the primary designers and decision makers of the entire Homecoming process. High levels of dedication, hard work, and intensity are key for success in these roles. Apply today on ArgoPulse. Applications are due Nov. 25.
On the first day of Homecoming, we cover the campus in blue and green! Show your Argo Pride by wearing your Argonaut gear, and check out window paintings, giant banners and twinkle lights at night!
According to Greek mythology, Jason and the Argonauts had to overcome many obstacles and challenges in their epic quest to find the Golden Fleece. Now you and your friends have the opportunity to venture around campus and collect clues to find UWF's own Golden Fleece, and win a fabulous prize! Only one competitor or team will be able to retrieve the Golden Fleece: Will it be YOU?!
This daytime picnic event on the Cannon Green is a favorite of the UWF community. Hang out with your friends, professors and staff as you listen to music, enjoy lunch, and engage with multiple student organizations in their game booths.
Teams participating in the Homecoming Spirit Competition create boats made out of only cardboard, liquid nails and duct tape. Captains paddle their boats across the pool in hopes of being the fastest Argo in the water — or at least in hopes of not sinking! Students will compete for 1st-5th place before the faculty/staff teams compete. Then all boats left floating will race again for the final chance at ultimate cardboard boat victory!
The pumped-up pep rally celebrates Argo Pride by highlighting our campus culture and spotlighting our students, including our athletic teams, the Pep Band, the Homecoming Court and more! Then dance the night away at UWF’s biggest concert event of the year.
