As Coordinator of GIS for UWF, Nathan runs the GeoData Center operations and manages the university's GeoSpatial infrastructure including labs, servers, field equipment, and software licenses and is the point of contact for GIS research support. He also leads the Centers' training workshops and occasionally instructs courses on GIS and field methods.

Dr. Hu is UWF's GIS and Remote Sensing Professor. He teaches most GIS courses on the Pensacola campus and serves as the advisor for the GIS certificate program. His research focuses on spatial analysis and modeling in urban land use/cover dynamics, environmental studies, and environmental health.
