PEARL Program is a women's empowerment initiative that helps women become professionally empowered and ready for life.
PEARL at The University of West Florida is a women’s empowerment initiative designed to create opportunities for women to explore topics of mutual interest through programming, networking events and mentoring opportunities.
Goals of the Program
- Create opportunities for undergraduate women to explore topics of mutual concern/interest that will prepare them for life after college
- Cultivate networks, bonds and relationships regardless of differences
- Create environments for conversation and personal growth and development
The Strand is a series of workshops that focus on shaping personal identity, confidence and self esteem as a 21st century woman.
New! Diversity Workshops
The Office of Equity and Diversity offers a wide variety of diversity workshops for students, faculty and staff. Workshops help create awareness and foster a positive and supportive campus community. There are opportunities for dialogue, engagement, education, cultural enrichment, and addressing key concerns about the campus climate for diversity. Workshop topics include but are not limited to social inequities; gender, sexuality and LGBTQIA identities; microaggressions; power, privilege and oppression; intercultural communication.
