The mission of the Office of Equity, Diversity & International Affairs at the University of West Florida is to educate students, faculty, staff and the Northwest Florida Community about the value of diversity in all forms. The unit supports efforts across instructional sites that foster a climate of inclusive excellence. We will implement high-impact programming that creates opportunities for cross-cultural learning, understanding and engagement.
The University’s efforts to embody Awareness, Acceptance and Respect manifest itself in four action-oriented ways: Get Empowered; Get Educated; Get Involved; and Get Help. These pages contain the specifics of how we are creating a climate that is inclusive for all faculty, staff and students. We know that this work is never-ending and this website will be updated as UWF matures in its efforts.
At the University of West Florida we accept, value and celebrate the unique characteristics of each member of our community as well as the commonalities we share. As an educational institution we strive for inclusive excellence and want all members of our community to feel welcome and supported.Awareness, Acceptance, Respect
