The Office for Equal Opportunity and Accessibility (OEOA) oversees the University’s compliance with federal, state and institutional policy related to promoting equal opportunity in education and employment.
This includes oversight of equal opportunity and affirmative action programs, policies and procedures on harassment, and services related to Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The OEOA is responsible for making policy recommendations, advising departments about best hiring processes; facilitating training to the campus community; ensuring educational and workplace support for students and employees with disabilities; providing leadership to the institution on advancing accessibility in its programs, services and facilities, and responding to discrimination/harassment complaints. The Office for Equal Opportunity and Accessibility works closely with other campus departments to promote equal and full access to UWF’s programs and activities.
