Eligibility information for enrollment in ERCCD programs.
The UWF Educational Research Center for Child Development enrolls children six months up to kindergarten age; children through age 10 are accepted during the summer only. Children of faculty, staff, and alumni of the University of West Florida are eligible to attend the center, with students being given first priority. Faculty and staff enrolled in class exclusively under the employee tuition waiver program are not considered students for the purpose of priority enrollment. Because of the number of applicants it is important for those who are interested to fill out an application as early in advance as possible.
The age of each child as of September 1st each year determines which of the five classrooms the child will attend.
|Younger Toddlers:||6 months - 14 months|
|Older Toddlers:||15 months - 24 months|
|Two's||2 - 3 years|
|Three's||3 - 4 years|
|Four's||4 - 5 years|
Classes normally run during the fall, spring, and summer semesters, although during the summer semesters another program called school age is available for children from ages 5 to 10 years of age.
The center closes twice a year. First, for one week during the break between summer & fall semesters, and second for two weeks of the Christmas break. An extended contract is available during Spring Break and during the break between spring and summer semesters.
