The Power of Employee Giving
Employee participation in giving can actually help UWF attract major gifts and grants. When you invest in UWF, you invest in our future.
In 2009, a foundation called the nursing department at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to let them know that they were selected to receive a grant of $50,000. The foundation stressed that one of the influential factors in the decision was the fact that 100% of employees in the department were donors to the university. The department was thrilled to have the new funding. They maintained a strong relationship with the foundation over the next two years, providing updates on how funds were used and keeping the staff apprised of new developments.
Two years later in 2011, the university received a $3.2 million grant from the same foundation. It all begin with 100% employee giving in one department. Whether employees in that department gave $1 or $10,000, they were counted as participating. That is just one example of the power of employee giving.
There is power in numbers. When we stand together in support of the university, we signal to the outside world that UWF is a place worthy of support, that we will be good stewards of donated funds, and that the employees here truly care about the mission of the university.

What's more, you can designate your gift to any of the more than 300 funds at UWF including colleges, departments, scholarships, programs like WUWF Radio, and athletic teams.
