Information for Prospective Graduates

Important Information

You must have a graduation application on file with the Office of the Registrar in order to participate in the Commencement Ceremonies. Participation is not a guarantee of graduation.

UWF conducts Commencement ceremonies at the conclusion of the Spring and Fall terms only. Students should be applying for Graduation during the term in which they will complete their degree requirements, however, Summer term graduates have the option to choose to participate in either the Fall or Spring ceremony. Summer term graduates will have their information included in both term Commencement program booklets as 'Summer Degree Candidates'.

You also must wear appropriate regalia. Anyone without regalia will not be allowed to walk in the ceremony.
There is no dress code, but we ask that you dress appropriately.
Guest seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
When available, information about ordering your cap and gown will be posted online

With the recent reorganization of the academic colleges, students may be unsure of which ceremony to attend. Please refer to the list linked below.
