When do I need to meet with my advisor?
Initially, you will meet with an advisor at Orientation to set up your course schedule for the fall semester. You will meet with your advisor to set up your spring schedule in the fall. You are encouraged to meet with your advisor during the semester if you have questions or concerns. Become familiar with the Academic Calendar for important dates and deadlines.
How do I set up an appointment?
Do you take drop-ins?
Advisors accept drop-ins at certain times during the week. You can check your advisor's drop-in availability in GradesFirst or by calling the First Year Advising Center at (850) 474-3170.
What is a PIN? And why do I need one?
An advising PIN is required for class registration.
Your advising PIN must be released by your academic advisor. You will need to meet with your advisor to discuss your schedule for the upcoming semester. Your pin will be released once you have met with your advisor.

How do I declare a major or change my major?
There is a major/minor change form available at the Advising Center (bldg 18, room 150) or on the Office of the Registrar's Forms page on their website. If you have questions concerning your new major, you are encouraged to schedule an appointment with your advisor.
When you have completed the form, you may submit it to the Registrar's Office in building 18 on the Pensacola Campus.
How can I change my class schedule after the semester has started?
After the 1st week:
You will be able to withdraw from individual courses up until the 11th week of the semester. You can withdraw from the course through MyUWF or through the Office of the Registrar. You will be unable to add any additional courses to your schedule.
