Course Objectives for Data Measurement and Analysis: This 5-day course, using MiniTab® statistical software, will teach attendees practical methods of hypothesis testing and how to draw conclusions from data. Using the DMAIC model (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), attendees will be able to apply concepts in statistical process control. Attendees will learn how to measure and analyze data by using statistical and graphical methods. Using statistical methods, attendees will be able to discover why process failure occurs and how to implement regulations to improve processes. This class stresses proper data collection techniques and data analysis.

All attendees will be provided with a licensed copy of the MiniTab® software, included in the price of the course.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training

Course Objectives for Lean Six Sigma: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training is a 5-day course that introduces a practical understanding of the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) process. With this training, attendees will learn methods to support and be involved with their company’s Six Sigma Improvement Team. Six Sigma Green Belt Training overlaps with the first week of Six Sigma Black Belt training, with Green Belts spending up to 20% of their time assisting Black Belt projects or working on their own projects. Attendees will learn how to use the proper Six Sigma methods or tools to solve problems related to their organizations. A simulation called “Boards-R-Us” is used to help attendees understand the DMAIC process.

AS9100D - Internal Auditor Course

Course Objectives for AS9100 Internal Auditor: This 3-day hands-on course is intended for individuals who want to develop their skills to support their organization’s AS9100 systems through internal audits. It is based on the current Aviation, Space and Defense requirements of AS9100 Rev D and AS9101 Rev F. Workshop and case study activity will focus on the auditing techniques as referenced by ISO 19011:2011 and AS9101F. This highly participative course provides comprehensive instruction on auditing aerospace quality management systems (AQMS) and follows the basic process of an internal audit of an aerospace manufacturing facility, from audit preparation and completion through the corrective action process. A fourth day audit lab is recommended to apply learned theories to a practical environment (on-site sessions only).

Project management is growing exponentially. It's now used in virtually all industries, such as: construction, health care, government, education and engineering. To take the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification test, 35 contact hours of project management education are needed. These hours must include "content on project quality, scope, time, cost, human resources, communications, risk, procurement, and integration management.

The Project Management program is designed for professionals seeking PMP certification or for other business professionals seeking to improve their professional repertoire with knowledge of project management.

Certification Information:
There are no specific prerequisites for this course; however, if you plan to take the PMP Exam, you will need a Bachelor's degree and 4,500 hours of project management experience in addition to this course, or a High School Diploma or GED and 7,500 hours of project management experience


Introduction to CMMI for Development v1.3

CMMI for Development introduces managers and practitioners, appraisal team members, and process improvement teams to CMMI fundamental concepts. The CMMI for Development (CMMI-DEV) model is a tool that helps organizations to improve their ability to develop and maintain quality products and services. The course is composed of lectures and class exercises with ample opportunity for participant questions and discussions. After attending the course, participants will be able to describe the components of the CMMI-DEV model and their relationships, discuss the process areas in the CMMI-DEV model, and locate relevant information in the model.

Successful completion of this course requires that participants actively participate in classroom discussions and exercises in all three days, not missing any classroom time. The course fulfills a prerequisite requirement for many courses requiring an official SEI Introductory CMMI course (e.g., Intermediate Concepts of CMMI, CMMI Level 2 for Practitioner, CMMI Level 3 for Practitioners, SCAMPI Lead Appraiser Training, and Understanding CMMI High Maturity Practices). This course also fulfills a prerequisite if you want to be a member of a CMMI-DEV SCAMPI appraisal team.


Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

Course Description: Introduce the symbols, theory, and advantages of GD&T, including cost reduction and "bonus tolerance," using discussion, practical application, and hands on exercises. An evaluation form will be provided at the end of class as well as contact information for follow-up questions to the instructor.


NFPA 70E Arc Flash Compliance

Time Commitment: 2 Days
Tuition: $1,100*
Course Description: This course is a 2-day comprehensive review of Chapter 1 and 2 of the 2015 edition of the NFPA 70E Standard.  This course is intended for anyone who works on or near energized equipment.  Topics include:

  • Definition of arc flash
  • Hazards associated with an arc flash
  • The differences between qualified and unqualified personnel, boundaries and limits of approach
  • How to select the proper PPE for a particular task
  • Relevant portions of NFPA 70B and NETA maintenance specifications.

Each participant will receive a student guide and a copy of NFPA 70E 2015 Standard Book.


Systems Engineering

Time Commitment: 3 Days
Tuition: $2,000*
Course Description: The overall objective of this program is to foster a commitment among Leadership to a strong, consistent company-wide SE approach. The course is designed to demonstrate the importance of using effective SE processes to the target audience by using team participation to apply these processes in a simulated project development exercise across the Plan/Acquire, Design, Produce, and Support life cycle phases.

When learners have completed this curriculum, they will be able to: explain the role and value of SE, articulate a common SE definition and methodology. The learners will be able to establish common goals and objectives in the application of SE to company programs, and describe the roles of the program manager, SEIT leader, chief engineer, systems engineer, supplier, and others. The learners will be able to apply SE throughout the program lifecycle, and strengthen the management of technical integrity across programs, suppliers, and IPTs.

Upon completion of this program, learners will be able to:
• Explain the role and value of SE
• Articulate a common SE definition and methodology
• Establish common goals and objectives in the application of SE to company programs
• Describe the roles of the program manager, program lead SE, chief engineer, systems engineer, supplier, and others
