Career and Professional Education
The Office of Career and Professional Education serves career changers and manufacturing, financial, and technical employers seeking quality improvement and leadership programs.
Specialists in the UWF Office of Career and Professional Education expand and improve education opportunities in Northwest Florida. To accomplish this goal, the team collaborates with business leaders, trainers, and government officials -- connecting people who have common needs but different missions. The results are collaborative workforce education projects created by true partners with measurable plans for success. Before starting a new project, they conduct a needs assessment to determine an organization’s skills gaps. With industry input, they develop and provide career certifications and custom programs for non-traditional students, unemployed workers, and business professionals. Many programs focus on Information Technology, Project Management, Supervisory Skills, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing.
