About the Interim Vice President
Ms. Betsy Bowers was selected to be the Interim Vice President for Business, Finance, and Facilities effective November 1, 2014. She provides leadership and oversight for the institution's budget process, auxiliary services, financial services, procurement and contracts, campus building and grounds, and the campus master plan implementation.
Prior to accepting the Interim Vice President position, Ms. Bowers served as the Associate Vice President for Internal Auditing & Management Consulting at the University of West Florida (UWF), where she has directed internal auditing for more than 20 years. She has also served as an adjunct professor at UWF, teaching an upper-division course on White Collar Crime. A national search will be conducted to fill the Vice President vacancy. Upon completion of conducting a national search to fill the position of Vice President, Ms. Bowers will return to her position as Associate Vice President for Internal Auditing & Management Consulting at the University of West Florida.
Education: B.S. in Administration, Accountancy and MBA, East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, TN. She is a certified internal auditor, certified fraud examiner, certified inspector general, and has a certificate in risk management assurance.
