Staff Senate Employee Emergency Fund: The purpose of the Emergency Assistance Fund is to assist UWF Workforce employees who request financial assistance and/or services due to circumstances resulting from an emergency and/or other unanticipated events. FEMA has an office set up at IHMC and one at the Roger Scott complex to assist with applying for assistance or you can call 1-800-521-3362 (1-800-521-FEMA). To apply, online go to: http://www.fema.gov/apply-assistance.
AVIS Rent a Car - Make your reservations at 1-800-338-8211 or www.avis.com. Request the State of Florida contract rates and reference AWD #B133409. The rates for renting vehicles for personal use are the same; however, employees are responsible for insurance coverage and for state taxes (not tax exempt). Employees assume responsibility for all loss or damage to vehicles regardless of fault. Note: These rates are available to current employees only.
UWF Faculty, Staff, and Students receive a 22% discount at Ashley Furniture discount with a Nautilus Card.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP): If you are feeling a great deal of stress from the aftermath of the storm, consider reaching out to EAP. The University of West Florida has contracted with Aetna Resources for Living to provide an Employee Assistance Program for employees and their family members. The Employee Assistance Program helps employees resolve personal and work problems through professional assistance. Employees may contact Aetna directly by calling their toll-free number (1-800-272-7252). All services and calls are strictly confidential between the employee and Aetna.
