ASPIRE's role is to advance UWF's mission, vision, and effectiveness by facilitating integrated strategic planning, assessment, institutional intelligence, and research to support data-informed decision making, policy formation, budgeting, programming, and continuous improvement at the University. A member of the Division of Academic Affairs, ASPIRE’s primary functions and zones of activity include the following:

Accreditation (Institutional)

ASPIRE provides leadership and facilitates the University of West Florida’s efforts to prepare for its reaffirmation reviews by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Learn more at the University's regional accreditation website.

Strategic Planning

ASPIRE serves as the guardian and champion of the University's Strategic Plan, ensuring that its message is properly shared and promulgated throughout the University community.

Institutional Research

ASPIRE, working in collaboration with Information Technology Services, manages data collection, analysis, and dissemination at the University to provide a consistent, accurate basis for planning, decision-making, and the assessment of institutional effectiveness. ASPIRE also supports the development and implementation of strategic enrollment planning and management models at the University by assembling and analyzing data related to student enrollment, progression, and success, as well as by designing predictive models to help inform related policy and strategy development.

Institutional Effectiveness

ASPIRE provides leadership and resources to support institutional and unit-level planning, assessment and evaluation, and the use of results for accountability, continuous improvement, and quality enhancement to advance the University’s mission, vision, and effectiveness.
