The Argo Arrival event series is an annual tradition that kicks off the start of the school year for new and returning students. Argos will enjoy events on and off campus and explore opportunities to express their interests and connect with other students.

Argo Arrival begins on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015 — also known as Resident Move-In Day. Students must bring an active Nautilus Card to Argo Arrival events and will be asked to sign a participation waiver. Students who will be younger than 18 during Argo Arrival and would like to participate should contact Karli Sherman at email@example.com to obtain a parental consent waiver. Convocation is a ceremony that marks the official beginning of a new academic year in university life. At UWF, Convocation brings everyone together to celebrate the new year and to induct the first-year students into the community of learners at UWF.
Join us for this exclusive event just for Argos. It’s a great opportunity to get everything you need, save money and mingle with fellow students. There will be free busing to and from Target, entertainment and awesome flash sales. There will be shopping discounts for Argos only, so bring money for items you may have forgotten for your residence hall or apartment.
Buses depart at 10 and 10:30 p.m. from the Pargo Green, Martin Hall and the Commons. Target's doors open at 10:15 p.m. A bus will return students to campus every half hour starting at 11 p.m. The last bus will leave Target at 12:30 a.m.
Faculty and staff are invited to join in the fun. Students must bring an active Nautilus Card to Argo Arrival events and will be asked to sign a participation waiver. Bring your swimsuit and appetite for this awesome picnic party! Wet ’n Wild picnic will heat up with free food from the grill while you cool down with huge inflatable water slides, water balloons and a dunk tank.
Students must bring an active Nautilus Card. Parents, families, faculty and staff are invited. In the event of rain, this event will be held in the Commons.
Buses will depart at 5:30 p.m. from the Commons (Parking Lot H) to catch a Pensacola Blue Wahoos game at Community Maritime Park, the site of UWF's inaugural football season. Tickets, transportation and T-shirts are free to the first 100 students who board the buses at the Commons.
Enjoy fireworks on the bay, make new friends and embrace a local baseball tradition as the Wahoos take on the Chattanooga Lookouts. The Wahoos compete in Minor League Baseball's Southern League as the Double-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Cincinnati Reds.
This event is ticketed. A valid student Nautilus Card is required to board the bus and to obtain a ticket and shirt. Additional game tickets may be available for purchase at the stadium, 301 W. Main St., Pensacola, or from the Blue Wahoos website.
Head to the Commons (Parking Lot H) early to grab one of 200 student spots on the Beach Bash buses, which depart at 10:30 a.m., or meet us at Pensacola Beach Park West at 11:15 a.m.
Relax and enjoy the waves or try beach volleyball, kayaking or sailing at this annual trip to the beach for all new and returning students. Enjoy free food and water (while supplies last), and capture the moment with a photo at the UWF sand sculpture. Bring: Nautilus Card, sunscreen, sunglasses, extra water, towel, hat.
A valid Nautilus Card and signed participant waiver are required for students to participate in activities or receive free food.

Take a midweek break to enjoy free food, drinks and giveaways at Taste of Pensacola as local restaurants and other businesses showcase their products and services. Learn about the diverse range of restaurants, stores and activities for you to enjoy during your time at UWF.
New and returning students, faculty and staff are invited. In the event of rain, Taste of Pensacola will move to the Commons Great Hall and Auditorium.
With dozens of things to do and see, this event will keep you busy all night! Argos Night Out will take over the Commons with Cultural Explosion, Open Mic Night, Super Smash Bros. Smash-Fest, GloCade, a Rock Out the Red Zone dance party and free food. A valid student Nautilus Card is required to enjoy the free games, food and prizes.
Cultural Explosion — Argo Galley, 6-7:30 p.m.: We will bring the world to you! This event is a multicultural celebration with international food, music, dancing and prizes. Discover how you can learn, experience and explore other cultures. Indian students will provide henna tattoos, Chinese students will write your name in Mandarin, and Japanese students will help you create origami. Learn about study abroad programs and how you can explore the world on your own and receive UWF credit. More information: firstname.lastname@example.org
Game Fest — Commons Auditorium, 7-11 p.m.: Take on your friends, bring a team or try something new at Game Fest. This event will feature video games for all tastes on various consoles, a Super Smash Bros. Smash Fest presented by the Video Gamers Alliance and a GloCade featuring shuffleboard, Foosball and labyrinth.
Open Mic Night presented by CAB — Argo Galley, 8 p.m.: Show off your musical, comedic, poetic, dramatic or other performance skills at this amazing display of student talent. Signup starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Argo Galley.
Rock Out the Red Zone: Great Hall, 9-11 p.m.: This video dance party will transform the Great Hall and increase awareness of the Red Zone — the time between the beginning of the fall semester and Thanksgiving break, when students are more at risk for experiencing sexual assault. Engage with student and community organizations, play games and win prizes and free T-shirts! More information: Wellness Services.

Enjoy games, check out the Student Organization Demo Stage and meet student leaders from 100+ student organizations to find involvement opportunities that match your interests. Plus, bring a shirt from another university or college to swap for a free, special-edition Argonaut T-shirt (one per person, while supplies last).
A valid student Nautilus Card is required to attend. Student organizations that have registered for Argopalooza will be able to set up a table between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. (event starts at 7 p.m.).
