Germaine (Geri) Battist

Executive Specialist

It took only three years of vacationing in the beautiful Pensacola Beach area to convince Geri and her husband to pull up roots from their hometown of Rockford, Ill., in 2006 and put down new roots in the Pensacola area. As the Executive Specialist for the Division of University Advancement, she is kept busy managing the Vice President’s calendar/schedule, preparing meeting materials, performing administrative functions and overseeing administrative support staff and services. In addition, Geri is the Campaign Manager for the capital campaign. She has been with the Advancement Division of the University of West Florida since July 2006 and is a 2010 recipient of the UWF Nautilus Professional Excellence Award. Battist earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Rockford Business College in 1990 and is currently completing courses toward a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts.


Tripp, Deborah

Deborah Tripp

Office Manager

Deborah Tripp serves as the office administrator for the Division of University Advancement, where she provides administrative support to Development, Alumni Relations, Advancement Services and the UWF Foundation and Institutional Communications. Her responsibilities for the Division include budgeting, purchasing, travel, invoicing, maintaining supplies and inventory and scheduling meetings in the Alumni Conference Room, among many other administrative duties. In addition, Deborah coordinates and supervises up to three college work study students each semester. An employee of UWF for more than 20 years, Deborah has also served as Office Administrator in InstitutionalCommunications and as both Secretary and Data Processing Control Specialist for the Small Business Development Center. Deborah earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Networking Services Technology from Pensacola State College.
