Dr. Brendan Kelly was named Interim Vice President for University Advancement at the University of West Florida in April 2013. In this role, Dr. Kelly serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet and provides executive leadership to a team of more than 60 professionals in the Division of Advancement, overseeing the University’s integrated marketing and communications efforts, as well as all of the development and alumni relations’ activities. Sheri Pope serves as the Executive Director of UWF Foundation, Inc., where she is responsible for overseeing a dedicated staff to ensure donors remain confident knowing their generous gifts are used in the ways they wish to support the University. Sheri says her favorite part of working at UWF is being part of a process that supports learning, provides opportunities and impacts students’ lives.
Interim Executive Director of the University of West Florida Historic Trust
Malinda Horton serves as the Interim Executive Director of the University of West Florida Historic Trust, a non-profit Direct Support Organization of the University. Under her leadership, the Trust manages 29 properties spanning from downtown Pensacola, Fla. to Milton, Fla. In addition to her interim duties with the Trust, she serves as a lobbyist and Executive Director for the Florida Association of Museums as well as a member of the Florida Historical Commission and serves on the Visit Florida Board of Directors. Malinda is a native Floridian and attended Florida State University where she received a bachelor's degree in Political Science.
