Susan W. Harrell, J.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Legal Studies, Public Administration and Sport Management. She earned a B.F.A. (Bachelor's of Fine Arts) in Graphic Design from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA., an A.A. in Legal Assisting at Pensacola State College (f.k.a. Pensacola Junior College) and her J.D. (Doctor of Jurisprudence) at Samford University's Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, AL. Prof. Harrell has been teaching at UWF since August 1990.
Prof. Harrell practiced law for nine years before closing her practice to focus on earning tenure and promotion at UWF. However, she still maintains her license to practice law in the State of Florida, her Florida Supreme Court Family Mediation Certification and memberships in the Escambia-Santa Rosa County Bar Association, the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, the Academy of Family Mediators, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and a variety of other legal professional organizations.
