Linda Tibbits, instructor and coordinator of the RN to BSN program track, teaches online courses in gerontology and law and ethics and has participated in the development of the online RN-BSN program track and many of the online courses.

Ms. Tibbits has an academic interest in developing curriculum that advances nursing education.  Ms. Tibbits’ research interest focuses on improving nursing students' scholarly writing. She received a Quality Enhancement Program fellowship to develop and implement a pilot project that strengthens nursing students’ academic writing skills and prepares them for both the workplace and advanced education.

She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana University School of Nursing and Master’s in Nursing Education from Ball State University.  Before coming back to UWF in 2007, she was an instructor of nursing at Ball State University's School of Nursing, and at UWF Department of Nursing from 1997 - 2004.
