Ms. Marcia Dove

Marcia Dove has been an instructor in the field of Hospitality in the Department of Health, Leisure, and Exercise Science at the University of West Florida’s Fort Walton Beach Campus since 2012. She teaches eight courses: two fully online, five blended learning and one traditional face to face. Two of her courses, HFT4426 Financial Decision Making and HFT3414 Managing Front Office Operations, are HIP Emerge courses in which she incorporates community involvement projects. Marcia tells us she has made serious revisions to almost all of her courses after taking the ATC courses, "Designing a Quality Online Course" and "Quality Online Teaching", last summer.
Marcia’s employment experience includes over thirty years working in management positions in many sectors of the hospitality industry; hotels, restaurants, recreational vehicle parks, and retirement communities. Marcia formerly taught classroom and online hospitality and tourism courses for Schiller International University, Largo, Florida where she earned her MBA in International Hotel and Tourism Management in 2004.
