June has been teaching online since 2002 and is a 2004 recipient of the Distinguished Teaching Award. June completed the QM Peer Reviewer Certification in Summer 2010 and became a Certified QM Trainer in Fall 2010. She has been with the Academic Technology Center as an instructional designer since 2012.
Dr. Hastings is a Quality Matters Certified Peer Reviewer and has served on an official Quality Matters Peer Review Team. For those of you who are not familiar with Quality Matters and have not yet attended a QM training - QM is a faculty-centered, peer review process designed to certify the quality of online courses and online components as they align to a research-based rubric of best practices. In her role as QM Scholar, Dr. Hastings helps promote the use of the QM process by reaching out to individual faculty and departments to increase awareness of QM as a strategy to improve the quality of existing online courses and to support the design of new online courses at UWF.
