June Watkins is an instructional designer with the Academic Technology Center at UWF. Watkins began teaching religious studies and philosophy online in 2002. She now facilitates two courses: "Teaching a Quality Online/Blended Course" and "Applying the QM Rubric" for faculty development at the Academic Technology Center. Two of her online courses have been recognized by Quality Matters (QM) for meeting national standards for quality in online design. Previously she has served as Director of Women's Studies, Assistant Director of Interdisciplinary Studies and Coordinator for the Language and Culture Institute. She is Past President of Phi Kappa Phi UWF Chapter. In 2004 Watkins received the Distinguished Teaching Award.
