Division of Academic Affairs

The Division of Academic Affairs functions as the primary coordinating unit for academic programs and academic support operations. The division coordinates the allocation of instructional and research funds and other resources, works to improve the quality of instruction, correlates the evaluation of instructions, and establishes policy on faculty appointment, evaluation, promotion, and tenure.


Update from the Provost - July 30, 2014

I am pleased to announce the appointment of three new college deans. Please join me in welcoming them to their new leadership roles:

Dr. Steven Brown, College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CASSH). Dr. Brown comes from Mississippi State University-Meridian where he serves as Dean and Associate Vice President. He will assume his role as Dean on Monday, September 15. 

Dr. William Crawley, College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS). Dr. Crawley comes from Grand Valley State University where he serves as Associate Dean of the College of Community and Public Service. He will assume his role as Dean on Monday, September 15. 

Dr. Mike Huggins, College of Science, Engineering and Health (CSEH). Dr. Huggins has been serving as Interim Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences since August 8, 2013. He will assume his role as Dean on Friday, August 1.
