Their understanding of physics, biology, geology and chemistry provides them with basic knowledge on key topics within the field of Oceanography such as currents and tides, all forms of sealife, and coastal and underwater geology. The degree will position graduates for additional studies that will allow them to qualify for a variety of career opportunities. Oceanography is a very broad field with many specialties, and graduate studies or employment in oceanography may require more quantitative courses and hands-on experience not offered by this degree.
