The oceanography program at UWF is an interdisciplinary effort between the departments of Biology and Environmental Studies. This distance-learning program is reflective of UWF’s location on the Gulf Coast and its commitment to study and preservation of the marine environment. This program has at its core eleven oceanography courses that cover some of the basic elements within all four of the traditional components of the field of oceanography – Biological, Chemical, Geological and Physical Oceanography.
