    Company File Project
(Kirby & Kirby, 1996, Journal Of Management Education, Page 135-140)
Objective: Purpose is to apply the topics from the lecture and the text to current events in the corporate world. It is hoped that by continually researching and thinking about a firm, students will come to a clearer understanding of the issues faced by corporate managers today. Grading: Evaluation of the company file project is based on equal weighting of three components: written responses to questions about the company, class discussion, and an oral presentation. Each student is asked to evaluate the performance of his or her fellow group members.
Oral Presentation: Each group gives an oral presentation summarizing its findings about its company. The presentation must demonstrate that the group has a clear understanding of the main topics in the class as well as how these topics relate/interrelate with one another. Presentation should be no longer than 15 minutes each followed by questions from the audience.
Questions: See connections to MAN3025 schedule in the syllabus below. Each set of questions must be answered plus any other interesting information your team discovered on the organization. These should be placed, collected, and organized in your company file to be turned in at the completion of the semester.
